Herkules: new entry in the register of world market leaders

Certificate underlines strong market position

Herkules has been included in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce’s (IHK) register of world market leaders in the region of southern Westphalia. The certificate was ceremonially handed over by Klaus Gräbener, General Manager of IHK Siegen, at the company’s headquarters. Max Thoma, son of CEO Christoph Thoma, accepted the certificate: “We are very happy to be honored with this award. We have been setting the benchmark in the market for roll machining for many decades. In the steel, non-ferrous and paper industry, for example, renowned customers from all around the world rely on Herkules when their products must meet the highest quality standards.” Max Thoma has been COO of Herkules Meuselwitz, sister location of the Siegen company, since October 2015. “Being included in the IHK register of world market leaders confirms our strong market position. Our aspiration to outstanding quality has proven successful for more than 100 years.”

More than 300 people are employed at the heavy-duty machine tool manufacturer’s headquarters in Siegen. The market leader in roll machining is the origin of the international HerkulesGroup with a total of 1,600 employees, ten independently managed production companies and sales and service offices around the world. The family enterprise is particularly known by its cultural and social involvement in the region: Herkules and WaldrichSiegen sponsor both the Apollo Theater and the Museum for Contemporary Art in Siegen and Herkules is the founder of the successful project “Der Siegerländer Weg”, which combines youth development in both sports and career.
